Microsoft Intune is one of the fastest growing cloud-based enterprise services at Microsoft, touching over 200 million endpoints and users around the world every day. We provide powerful tools which enable IT and Security professionals to manage productivity of their employee base in a secure manner across multiple platforms (Windows, iOS, Android, Web). In today’s ever-increasing mobile workspace, distributed workforce and hybrid-work era, IT and Security professionals rely on solutions such as Intune to solve their productivity and corporate asset & data protection needs. All the while giving users confidence that their personal data stays private and secure. We are looking to hire a software engineer with proper fundamentals and a growth mindset. To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience in software development and servicing, the ability to tackle complex problems, and a passion for learning quickly and independently.

You’ll join the Information Worker Services (IWS) team, which focuses on delivering secure, intuitive access to devices, applications and organizational content across Windows, Web, and Mobile platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, servicing, and maintaining full-stack applications that power these experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and deliver scalable, low-maintenance, high-value solutions for both back-end and front-end experiences.

  • Work in a fast-paced, agile environment across multiple projects and work streams.

  • Be able to work across geographic and organizational boundaries.

  • Deliver engineering commitments, while keeping customers satisfied.

  • Work closely with other software engineers and architects on the team and partner teams around the globe in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

  • Own and drive projects and features by working towards the team’s defined goals and milestones.

  • Participate in the On-Call Engineering service rotation for all our services to ensure high availability and prompt resolution of emergent issues

  • Foster an environment of inclusion and belonging within the team and across our partnerships

  • Be curious and willing to learn and grow.



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience developing production software in a team environment
  • Proficient technical abilities around design, coding, rapid prototyping, debugging, and problem solving

  • Proficiency in any object-oriented design and language.

  • Knowledge in cloud security fundamentals.

  • Experience designing highly performant microservice web services

  • Demonstrated desire and passion for meeting customer needs

  • Passion for contributing to team culture

  • Track record of learning and growing

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
