The Minecraft Business Development and Strategic Partnerships team is the primary group that supports Studios’ gaming, creator and 3rd party partnerships.
As the Business Development Contract & Operations Manager, you’ll help drive our franchise growth by keeping projects on track, ensuring smooth execution of contracts negotiated by Senior Managers, and maintaining organization across fast-moving deal pipelines. Responsibilities include preparing agreement drafts in coordination with legal teams, ensuring timely progress in negotiations, maintaining comprehensive contract documentation, and identifying opportunities for process optimization. Responsibilities
- Support senior BD managers in executing and managing partnership contracts for Gaming/Minecraft, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (product, legal, finance, marketing) to drive alignment, deal progress and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records, prepare reports for leadership, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue and user growth.
- Assist with negotiation materials, contract templates, and operational tasks throughout all deal stages.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications (as pulled from the Role Library):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law and/or Finance
- 3+ years’ work experience as a paralegal or in contract administration at large global companies involving IP licensing.
- Experience working with legal contracts, Finance and Legal teams on time-sensitive deals, while ensuring policy compliance
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain successful business partnerships

Business Development IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $68,300 - $137,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $93,200 - $151,200 per year.
