Overview

The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy into local execution and driving operational excellence to achieve maximum business impact. Our team drives cross-segment insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by enabling Microsoft to deliver impact at scale across customers and partners.

In this role, you will focus on supporting the US Software Development Platforms (SDP) operating unit. You will leverage your knowledge of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Digital Native customers, one of Microsoft’s most dynamic and strategic customer groups driving innovation in cloud-based applications and digital business models. You will lead go-to-market strategy and execution for Azure growth across this ecosystem, accelerating how ISVs build, modernize, and scale their software on Microsoft Cloud.

Microsoft Azure is the engine of our transformation. The Segment Go-to-Market Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving customer and partner adoption through deep understanding of the ISV business model, product truth, competitive differentiation, and cross-team partnership across sales, marketing, and operations.

We’re looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and data-driven marketing leader who can connect technology innovation with business impact. This person thrives in fast-moving environments, aligns cross-functional teams, removes roadblocks, simplifies complexity, and builds programs that deliver measurable growth.

Responsibilities

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy, Planning, and Delivery

  • Create and execute end-to-end go-to-market plans that drive Azure growth across SDP (e.g., SaaS modernization, AI integration, data platform adoption).

  • Leverage deep knowledge of ISV and cloud-native development to craft localized value propositions and competitive positioning.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, and partner teams to operationalize campaigns, plays, investments, and co-sell motions designed to increase ISV pipeline velocity.

  • Use data-driven insights to track performance and continuously refine strategy across segments, partners, and customer types.

Field Enablement

  • Equip the field with compelling narratives, sales tools, and readiness resources that resonate with ISV and digital-native business models.

  • Partner closely with the SDP sales team to drive solution alignment, readiness, and storytelling tailored to software builders and digital disruptors.

  • Partner with Azure sales leadership and the ISV sales community to build scalable enablement frameworks, best practice sharing, and success storytelling.

  • Activate sellers to engage in co-sell programs, ensuring that both ISVs and emerging digital natives are supported to drive Azure consumption and joint wins across Americas.

Business Development

  • Develop and support the business growth strategy for ISV & Digital Native accounts, including scorecard metrics, usage, and revenue KPIs.

  • Identify and pursue white-space growth opportunities within the ISV ecosystem - accelerating net new build, migration, and AI adoption motions.

  • Leverage market and competitive insights (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc.) to shape differentiated plays for ISV audiences.

  • Surface insights from portfolio performance, customer engagement, and partner ecosystem health to inform strategic pivots and business planning decisions.

  • Maintain regular engagement with global and corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment with Microsoft’s broader ISV and startup strategy.

Specialty Responsibilities

  • Serve as the bridge between engineering, product, and field sales for ISV and digital-native workloads, influencing roadmap priorities and capacity planning.

  • Lead transition and modernization strategies for customers shifting from legacy hosting to cloud-native architectures on Azure.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, or technical pre-sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
  • Experience working with ISVs, digital natives, or cloud solution providers with an understanding of the software development lifecycle and go-to-market motions.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud, or other public cloud platforms, including IaaS, PaaS, and AI services.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, remove blockers, and accelerate business outcomes.
