Responsibilities
Account Planning & Execution
- Develops and oversees execution of account plans using Microsoft’s sales and delivery methodology for multiple accounts.
- Ensures engagements deliver high-volume sales for Microsoft and the customer, aligned with goals, outcomes, and forecasts.
- Coordinates with internal industry experts to identify new business opportunities and drive account growth.
- Leads extended teams and partners to scale business by aligning partner goals and fostering mutual growth.
- Drives integrated joint account governance through regular customer plan reviews to achieve revenue and consumption targets.
Strategic Thinking & Resource Allocation
- Thinks strategically about customer planning for assigned accounts, setting standards and priorities.
- Outlines where and how to invest resources across account management teams and stakeholders.
- Engages internal and external decision makers on long-term business planning.
- Anticipates account needs to transform enterprise accounts into strategic accounts.
- Influences scaling of strategic plans (including partners) and involves senior leadership.
- Ensures documentation of plans in the Account Plan.
Partner Engagement & Network Expansion
- Expands network of internal (e.g., Industry Solutions) and external partners to grow sales and partner impact.
- Provides seamless account management experience by ensuring proper execution of core tasks and transactions.
- Engages mainstream partners to promote long-term, mutually beneficial business and technology transformation strategies.
- Expands influence on customer boards to impact decision-making.
- Drives joint solutions with partners and manages inbound/outbound opportunities.
- Works directly with partners’ sellers to accelerate opportunity momentum and deal closure.
Pipeline Management & Risk Mitigation
- Oversees complex/multiple accounts and leads planning and prioritization efforts.
- Develops strategies to manage pipeline and meet sales goals by:
- Reviewing forecasts.
- Assessing and mitigating risks.
- Aligning strategies with business priorities.
- Leads virtual teams to re-adjust priorities while maintaining commitment and accountability.
- Prioritizes line-of-business projects to achieve business outcomes.
- Reduces complexity for customers and internal teams by focusing on the most strategic partners.
