The Cloud Supply Chain Engineering (CSCP-E) group is an exciting and fast-evolving engineering group within Microsoft that powers Microsoft’s Cloud-first mission. • Design and Develop AI Solutions
  • Build and deploy machine learning and generative AI models for supply chain workflows.
  • Implement agentic workflows to automate planning, sourcing, and logistics processes.
• Data Engineering and Integration
  • Prepare and manage large-scale supply chain datasets
  • Integrate AI capabilities with data platforms and Power BI dashboards.
• Automation and Process Optimization
  • Develop AI-driven workflows for various supply chain scenarios.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiencies.
• Model Performance and Compliance
  • Optimize AI models for scalability, latency, and cost efficiency in production environments.
  • Ensure adherence to Microsoft Security and Responsible AI principles and compliance frameworks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with other engineers, solution architects, product managers, and supply chain domain experts to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and apply them to supply chain challenges.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives for AI-driven transformation across design, plan, source, make, deliver, and enable functions.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience building solutions with cloud services.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or applied data science is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, and experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL and Graph databases for data integration.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
