Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Talent Sourcer to support our hiring in the Latin America region. We’re seeking a sourcing expert with a proven ability to design and execute effective strategies for diverse roles across multiple disciplines including mechanical and electrical engineering, software engineering, security, and data center operations.

In this role, you’ll source both individual contributor and leadership positions, partnering closely with engineering leaders to define ideal profiles, assess talent, and build pipelines that advance Microsoft’s mission. You’ll also conduct in-depth market research to understand complex candidate profiles and emerging talent communities, enabling proactive sourcing for highly competitive and niche roles.

Responsibilities

Talent Sourcing and Prospect Attraction

  • Leverages knowledge of talent markets and candidate profiles, along with strong connections to talent pools and communities, to identify, engage, and develop prospects for immediate and future hiring needs.

  • Builds pipelines that deliver diverse and differentiated talent, sourcing from both traditional and non-traditional channels.

  • Sparks interest among passive, active, and potential candidates by sharing compelling business stories that highlight Microsoft’s unique career opportunities, advantages, and rewards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Executes hiring plans within designated business groups, effectively balancing timelines, budgets, and scope to meet organizational goals.

  • Proactively analyzes market trends to identify current and future talent needs, sharing insights with stakeholders and partnering with leaders to create roles that attract desired talent.

  • Recommends diverse and alternative talent sources—including competitive, nontraditional, and previously overlooked candidates—to broaden the talent pool and strengthen business outcomes.

Data-Driven Decision Making and Market Analysis

  • Reviews data and market research to consult with business leaders, recommending and implementing hiring plans that align talent availability with business demand. Continuously analyzes data to enhance performance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

    • OR Master's Degree AND 3+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of end-to-end technical sourcing experience in one of the following domains: software engineering, security and/or data center operations.

    Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, market research, and pipeline development.

    Proven experience operating and collaborating in a complex, matrixed company environment
