In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve customers’ technical issues. As a member of the Cosmos DB support team in CSS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Azure Cosmos DB for our customers. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, collaborate with engineering teams to address product bugs, and provide guidance on best practices. Your contributions will help shape the future of data management and empower customers to achieve more with their data.


Your primary purpose in this role is to provide exceptional support for Azure Cosmos DB, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability for our customers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with engineering teams to address product bugs, and providing guidance to customers on best practices. This role involves close interaction with customers to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring their satisfaction and success with Cosmos DB. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and documentation, leveraging your expertise to enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to dataflows, datasets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitor and maintain Fabric workloads including Lakehouse, Data Engineering, and Real-Time Analytics.
  • Collaborate with data teams to ensure data pipelines and semantic models are functioning optimally.
  • Assist users with workspace management, permissions, and deployment pipelines.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on new Fabric features and recommend improvements.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Power BI or similar BI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, etc.).
• Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
• Familiarity with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tickets.


Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
• Experience with enterprise BI deployments and governance.
• Knowledge of Git integration and deployment pipelines in Fabric.
