Principal Product Manager - Applied Sciences Group
Microsoft
The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is looking for a highly motivated Principal Product Manager that enjoys building products and experiences that showcase the state of the art of AI, software, hardware, and user experience.
This is a unique role requiring the ability to help manage and guide a diverse set of teams across hardware, software, design, and more. You must have a proven track record of pulling disparate teams together and have a strong comfort and familiarity with driving ambiguous domains.
You have a passion for the core user experience, with a hunger and depth to understand the technical capabilities and constraints that need to be shaped to get us there. You pay attention to the pixels, understand the costs of the service, while scoping and balancing for target customers.
This role requires 50% access to our Microsoft Corp headquarters in Redmond, WA as you will need to engage directly with our hardware and software teams located there.
ASG is a unique group to Microsoft and even the industry. We have amazing latitude for impact and scope of creativity and opportunity. We invent but also ship. We are passionate about creating the future, inventing something that has not been done, and then turning around and getting it into the hands of millions of people. It’s a mash up of Microsoft Research and an effective engineering team. All in the name of doing what’s right, unimagined, and next, with a balance not too close but not too far in the future either. As we help guide Windows and Devices towards an AI-assisted world, we want to contextualize people’s experiences. We want to move people’s compute experiences “off the desk” into the real world, and not only contextualize and ground in what they do with computers but also in the physical world. If you are passionate about our mission in ASG and want to work on a team that offers growth opportunities, dedicated to a culture of inclusion, growth mindset and collaboration, we need you!
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
